Please: need info on 87 FC??
Could a kind soul pls. answer some questions on the 1987 35FC? Do they
have swing rads or is that an aftermarket irem? Do they all use the same 8ks genset or were others offered? Bedroom layouts: i noticed in one of the website's description that 4 bedroom layouts were available. Is the rear double bed a queen or were they sometimes smaller? Are Alcoas standard eqpt.? What are the factory size tires? I am going to see one in 2 weeks and would like to know these things before I go. Thanks: Bruce |

Hi Bruce..
I don't know of all of them.. I'm new to this myself (boy, have I learned a lot in 1 month) However I will post a handy Brochure that My "blue Box" (with the manuals) had in it, thought it was rather Nostalgic and neat. - Although, I don't see mine in it.LOL So I guess it must not be very Accurate.. Bruch:
Factory swing rads started in '85 on FC's and the '87 Fc's had the 8K Onan on the drivers side rear with the gen set radiator underneath the Coach more or less on the curb side mid rear. The two main bedroom layouts were the queen island or twin beds. Alcoas were standard on the 80's Coaches and if you look at the data plate near the front windshield over the drivers area, you will see what tires that Coach came out of the factory with and I bet it was 12R 22.5's, which were an option over the 11R 22.5's The '87 FC have a semi PT layout in floor plan with the mid door entry. All in all darn nice Coaches. The swing radiator became standard in '85 or '86, the '87-'89 had it
but it is not as simple. On the '87-'89 the grillework has to be removed first, then the fiberglass panel, then the aftercooler, and finally the radiator can swing. Starting '87 the 8kw Onan became standard, no drawer, with two roof A/Cs, the 12.5 on a drawer was optional as was the 3 A/C layout. Also beginning '87 the rear-bedroom was an island-queen or twin beds. The rear-bath was also still available, with a walk-through bedroom with twin beds. Forged-aluminum wheels were standard, 8.25x22.5, but I believe they were Firestone Accuride wheels not Alcoa. Standard tire size was still 11Rx22.5 LRH/16PR, but 12Rx22.5 LRH was an option. - Jeff Miller in Holland, MI --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "birdshill123" > > Could a kind soul pls. answer some questions on the 1987 35FC?
