Boy, have those auctions changed since I went to them(before I retired).

I like the old style auctions too, when you had to be there to bid. now you can be there at the auction theater and get outbid by an auctioneer employee bidding for online buyers. Items seem to end up at true market value. Winning bidder is proven to be the only one in the country who would pay that for that. no deals to be had out there.

Isn't that the truth! I go to some auctions and watch people pay at least retail for stuff. I look at the various places I deal with online and usually find I can get stuff delivered right to my office for less than what they're paying and then they have to load and carry it home!

I was amazed the true '09 went for as much as it did at the California auction. The buyer thought he could flip it and make a 100k. He still had it listed a year later for a ridiculous amount. It's going to be 20 years before essentially a 1 off last Wanderlodge is worth much, imho.
