They are George.
When they leave the table to "beat up the sales manager", they go into another office, often the sales manager's, and tell him how much more blood they think you have, then the two of them decide what their counteroffer will be and what tire-kicker on the lot is "the other couple making an offer on this coach". Just how the game is played.
