How do you figure engine hours to miles?

Jon, this is a very interesting question; no doubt it will vary based on our
individual driving style. We would all benefit from a discussion of our
individual mileage/engine hours. That would give all of us an additional
piece of info to use in comparing vehicles.

For my 1985 PT-36, I have 172,000 miles/ 4160 engine hours resulting in an
average of 41.3+ miles per hour.

My engine hour meter reads 3460 hours and I would like to know what
that would compute to miles driven if rig was on the road all its
life? Right now the OD reads 148,000.
