Bathroom electricity heater
Hi Bob!
The heater in the bathroom, as well as all the electric heaters in our Birds, have a piece snap disc like thermostat that turns the heater off in the event of an overheat. My bathroom heater wouldn't stay on for long once it was making a fair amount of heat. I took it out and cleaned all the lint, hair, dust , etc from the inside of the heater. The fan was especially covered with dust and lint. It didn't spin as fast as I thought it should. once cleaned, the heater will run much longer than previously. I did not find a reset button in any of my 4 electric heaters. if you take them out to clean them(takes about 20 minutes each), you will find they are stupid simple. I think someone posted where to buy the new fan motors for these heaters. http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/Wand.../database? method=reportRows&tbl=4&sortBy=1&sortDir=down&start_at=18 Grainger Motor 1/250 hp\, cframe item #4M068 ($11.72) & Blade\, fan #4C467 ($3.58) Jay Darst 85PT40 Springfield, IL --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "robertnloomas" > > --Ernie I think I over used it this winter in Grand Forks.First part > of the winter it work fine.Have not had a chance to look at.Ill be > off the road next week and i can get back to working on the bird. > Trying to get a little heads up on what to look for or get a > replacement. > Bob Loomas 1985 PT 36- > > > > > In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "Ernest Ekberg" > > > > > > > > > > > Sure hope it is only a reset. If it is ill remove the heater and > give > > > it a good cleaning. > > > Thanks to all. > > > Bob Loomas 1985 PT 36 > > Bob, my heater would only come on for a short period of time thenn > cut > > off.
