David if your suspension is correctly aligned and the shocks are
good, and the ride heights are correct front to back you should have no need for any steering assist. What the assists accomplish is to put additional stress on your steering system, in the case of the true center up to 270#. I have a hard time believing the true centers ads that claim " Extends the life of the front-end parts up to 70%; front tires up to 30%." I have no road wander with either of my BB although I believe the PT40 with its additional weight tracks even better then the Forward control.
