FC weights
Hey Jeff,
It seems that your formula for fuel and water is right on target. Loaded for a trip, one passenger and a seven pound dog. Our 88 FC is 12780 Front and 18860 rear, total 31640. Our difference is, we had full fuel and about 1/4 water. The fuel & water really helps to take weight off of the front axle. Bill 88 Fc The dog was upfront. --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "Jeff Miller" > > I never weighed one empty, always loaded with fuel & water (about > 2500lbs), at least one person, and several hundred pounds (at least) of > tools, food, housewares, gear, and everything our family carries along. > > However, these are the numbers in FCs as I rememeber them: > > '77 FC31 Diesel: 24,600 fully loaded, GVWR: ?? around 31,500 I believe > '83 and '84 FC35: 30,380 loaded, GVWR: ?? around 34,000 > '88 FC35: 31,900 1/2tank water (add ~500# to drive and subtract ~100# > from steer for full): 13,140 steer (rated 13,200) 18,760 drive (rated > 18,760) 31,900 total (GVWR 34000). > > - Jeff Miller > in Holland, MI > > > > --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "PECHIN3" > > > > Looking at FC's between 1980 to 1989.
