24 Volt
Lee,
My brother Dan has a 1986 FC35RB with the 3208 and a 320amp Leece NeVille Alternator. The 160 and 320 use exactly the same mounting hardware with no modifications at all- NONE. You will need to change the cable that runs to the alternator as the factory stuff is 1 gage, we replaced ours with 1/0 cable. This can be a big PITA on the FC's, pretty easy on the PT. The 320 amp unit is $1,500 new. Buy a take off(from ambulance or fire truck) on E-Bay. I bought Dan's and mine on E-Bay for around $500 each. Dan's was brand new in the wrapper, mine was an ambulance take-off with about 100 miles on it.
