1984 FC35 3208TA Fuel Consumption
I've calculated mileage at each fill on our 3208 TA powered coach and can
contribute the
following information on this subject:

Engine horsepower = 300
Rear axle ratio = 4.89
Allison transmission speeds = 4
Coach weight = 30,100 lbs. (Wanderlodge II)
Miles now on coach and engine = 99,939
Miles on coach and engine when we bought it = 59,923
Typical cruising speed = 60-65 mph
Tow vehicle = Jeep Wrangler

Dash air has never worked well on our coach and I eventually eliminated it, so
we always
run the generator to supply power to the roof airs when we are on the road in
hot weather.
Original generator ran off LPG so it didn't affect diesel mileage calculation.
Average fuel
consumption during this period (1 year/14,400 miles) was 8.7 mpg.

Now we have a diesel generator and I have excluded four extended dry camping
periods
from the data. Average fuel consumption during this period (5 years/25,400
miles) was
8.3 mpg.

I would reassure anyone considering the purchase of the 3208 coaches that they
get pretty
good fuel mileage considering their size and weight.
