Do Not Shift light
Rick and Terri,
This has happened a few times with my BB too. Always while driving, and when trying to upshift from 1st to 2nd. There is some kind of microprocessor with the Allison trans, and my handbook says to turn the motor off, removing power from the trans computer, and re-starting which allows it to "re-boot", for the lack of a better term. Each time this happened to my BB, the problem corrected itself after turning the bus off, waiting a minute or so, and restarting. If the problem persists, I recommend it being looked at by an Allison repair shop....they might be able to read the codes from the blinking light below the shift buttons. Good luck... Never seen that light before. Looked in the blue book and found no reference. Checked all the fluids and jacks, but found no problem. Has anyone had this problem before? Would appreciate any input. We were about to pull out for the Lone Star BB rally. Rick & Terri McIntire 1986 PT38 8V92 Patillo, TX Please Help! Yahoo! Groups Links [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |
