We made it home with our Bird -now I have a few tech. questions.
Jim: What year is your Coach?
At the bottom of the water heater, input side, there is a valve. This valve is a 3 way with an air line going to it. It is part of the air blow out for winterizing. It is known to stick in the "drain" position. On the end of the valve facing toward the front of the Coach, remove the 4 screws holding the end cap on. Be careful as there may be a return spring located there. With the end cap off, you should see the end of the shuttle, this is the part that is suck. With a pair of needle nose pliers, pull on the end of the shuttle until it moves toward the front of the Coach. Replace the end cap and try the hot water once again. I have taken those valves apart, cleaned and lubed them and return them to service ready to go. It is a PITA to remove the valve though. The wiper delay is a PMMI control. You can get in touch with Doug Hampton of PMMI and see if they are doing any repair on that system.
