Pulling trailer

I am looking for responses from members who have towed an enclosed trailer with
a FC. When towing, would you use an equalizer hitch, or just the trailer hitch.
I am looking at towing a 20 to 24 foot trailer, but first have to check length
of allowable motorhome in different states and provinces.
