Best camping near Washington DC and Montreal
1: Highly recommend MARYLAND Assateague State Park or if space not
available, the National park just down the road. You park on pads
right near the dunes, maybe 100 yds from ocean. Wild horses & deer
roam the areas.
2: If parking SOUTH of DC, Pohick Bay Regional Park is nice, further
south is Prince William Forest Park, part of the national park
system. To tour DC, get to a METRO subway train station and ride
metro into town and tour the mall area using the Smithsonian
station, the entire Mall area is one of the best urban walking
tourist areas in the world. The mall area is safe. Parking at
METRO is tough, no RVs...you can park RV easily at Springfield Mall,
just east off RT95 at Rt 644 and walk 1/4 mi to the Springfield
METRO Station south of the mall. Web sites for all these locations
are excellent.
