Perkins 12KW generator starting hard
The heater is a set of glow plugs. On mine, the glow plugs are series
plugs and not parallel plugs. This means that if one glow plug fails, they all do. It's something to keep in mind if it starts hard or won't run right away. I don't know if there is a retrofit kit to change the glow plugs to parallel plugs. I changed to parallel from series on my 77 Mercedes diesel and it made all the difference in the world when it came to starting in cold weather.
