Generator Radiator R&R, Etc.

My next project might be removing the generator radiator, having it gone
through, replace all the hoses, get the fan motor checked out, etc. The
radiator lays flat with the fan/motor on top. To remove the radiator the
fan must come out first, or the fan and radiator can be removed as a
unit. . Does anyone know the approx. weight of the fan with the radiator
attached? Any tricks that I should be aware of relative to the 1987 PT38?

Radiator Test Strips...My bottle of test strips is dated 3.2006. Do
these really go bad, and by the date stamped on the bottle, or is this
like medication and the like...the manufacturer wants to sell more product?
