LIZARD SKIN UPDATE
Ernie and others inquiring about "Lizard Skin."
As you know, I brushed lizard skin on my "doghouse, engine cover and
front end above radiator. Got about 4 coats by brushing. Wasted four
large paint brushes as the stuff is like painting "white mud!"
I am happy to report that I got my $223 worth for two gallons
including shipping. After 600 miles, the sound is cut by at least
half and the heat is greatly reduced.
On my old 77FC, I put the $100 a sheet lead foam on and this "lizard
does a much better cover job. The finished job is like having a thick
white coating of ceramic all over.
In summary, Im happy with the job.
They tell you to buy the $140 sprayer, but I bought cheap walmart
brushes and got the job done. LOL!
Regards,
Hank Hannigan...In Souther Illinois for now installing xantrex 2500.
