Wiring question
Stephen, I have (3) wires coming out of the cloth wire
loom that you mention, a White, Dk Blue, and Lt Green. The Lt Green goes to the fuel solenoid. The White and Dk Blue wires go under the alternator down the front and attach to the tach and temp senders, which to which I do not know? All (3) have butt connectors with a different color wire continuing. I had an alternator shop add an insulated stator post to the Motorola to get away from the DC tach which is expensive and doesn't give continued service. I was just in the front recently and don't remember any other wires. All three would go to the instrument panel and it's possible someone used point-to-point connections not caring about colors, yours or mine.
