Generator Won't Start?
Mike,
While you are checking for fuel there are a couple clues you gave that may need to be explored. It was running, started 10 times, tried won't start. Did you so ANYTHING to the genset between the time you stopped the generator till the time you tried again? Do you remember what station you depressed the switch to stop? Sometimes these rocker switches will stick (mine has) in the OFF position. Should any station be stuck in the off position and you are trying another it won't start. Just to be sure rock them all back and forth stopping on the center. You said in an earlier post the the fuse blew a "couple" months ago and you replaced it. Fused circuits are sized for normal load plus momentary overload protection. If say, you replaced this fuse with a much larger size the circuit may have given up the ghost, even if you placed a known good fuse in the holder. Just the blown fuse alone suggests that SOMETHING??is not quite right. Bob not quite right in that circuit. --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "Mike Meister" <mike.meister@...> wrote: > > the fuel solenoid arm is moving and if I pull it it actually > chokes/restricts the start effort. > > will check fuel now and report back > > thanks > > > > > > --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "mbulriss" <mbulriss@> > wrote: > > > > Mike, > > > > Outside the voltage issue Curt mentioned, manually pulling the fuel > > solenoid arm should have started it - if you are getting fuel. > Have > > you checked to see if you are getting fuel pressure at the output > side > > of the lift pump?
