help, shut out of coach...
Something similar happened to us last year except we were inside the
coach. Do both the locks appear to work normally? Can you unlock the bottom lock and pull the handle on the top lock? If you can than then the problem may be the same. There are two screws one above and one below the upper lock bolt that goes into the door frame. These screws go into a slot in the door frame. What happened to us was that one screw had come loose and caught on the edge of the door frame keeping the door from opening while both locks appeared to unlock. I had to climb out of the window and was able to take out the screws around the door frame on the lock side and then pry the frame over far enough to get the door to open. Both screws are now inserted with "Lock Tite" and we have not experienced any more problems. Hope this helps. Lucas Willemse 1980 FC35 Los ANgeles |
