Camping areas in Boston
Dear Shane:

I recently returned from the Boston area and enjoyed staying at Wompatuck State
Park which is south of Boston in the beautiful town of Hingham. Wompatuck has
two camping areas - Area 2 has 20 amp. electric sites. Admittedly 20 amps is not
much but we survived for 6 nights with no problems using one AC when needed.
There is no campsite water or sewer but we took on water when we arrived at the
park. The campsites themselves are very spacious and most are fairly level. At
the cost of about $20 per night we felt we had pretty good value.

Another possibility is the KOA in Middleboro but it is quite a distance from
Boston although there is a commuter rail train nearby that can take you into the
city.

Best wishes.

Hello all,

Has anyone had any experience traveling, camping in and around
Boston? We would like to visit there later this summer for a few days
and are looking for a decent campground. Woodalls doesn't always give
much relavent info when it comes to a 20-ton bird. (grass sites, poor
drainage, etc...)
