ridewell air suspension system.
After replacing the Forward heigth control valve, I took a good look
at all the air componets hidden in the frame of a 82 FC. There is a check valve and back pressure regulator on the cross seciton near the air dryer. This is the part tht appears to prevent air usagae of all aplinaces including the air bags if the pressure goes below 65 psi. On the forward cross member where the height control valve is located, there is one of the three air supension dump valves ( the other two are at the cross member behind the rear air bags.) on the passengers side of the cross member. Looking along the cross member toward the drivers side is a tee with the suspension dump sender for the light on the dash. Next dead center is a module above the Height control valve that I have no idea what it is for. Then comming around the corner and heading forward on the main frame drivers side is another small module that I have no idea what it is for. Then forwad of that ther is a larger module that I have no idea what it is for. Lots of fun. Does anyone out there have the superior knowledge to name the modules and their purpose. I feal like I am on a game show. Jim Hutchings 82 just like new 35RB Yorba Linda, CA |
