You will find the manufacturers recommend "filtered " power as a
protection caveat for the internal electronics
Ihave found that the only thing necessary is to install on the 12
coach side NOT on the igniton side of the 12 volt bus preferably on
its own circuit you should not have any problems installing in this
manner and i have installed a number of systems this way Just take the
usual precautions as when you install a good stereo
But as usual some will not agree
