tank life expectancy

My understanding is that the ASME tanks don't require recertification like the
grill tanks do. Of course if they see something that could be dangerous when
you have the tanks refilled, they should not fill them and inform you of the
problem.

If I purchase the coach I am looking at this time, that will be
one of the things I will put in the 'must do' list. Do the fill
stations actually check the tanks when they fill an RV? I would
think it would be a legal requirement.

Someone may. I cleaned minor surface rust from my tank, used ospho
to treat it and repainted it with high quality engine paint. I
haven't had any refill problems, and do not have rust.
