What is a "Wanderlodge II"
Hi Scott,
The Wanderlodge II was the test bed for Blue Bird to see if they could sell more coaches by introducing options rather than all the bells and whistles included in the standard Wanderlodge. Our unit is the virtual twin of Rick & Rosies' old coach but even between them there are differences. Some subtle and some not. Our coach has the "goat rails" on the roof while I think Rick says his didn't. We do have HWH jacks. We don't have the altimeter, the musical horn, the only fuel filter we have is made by cat and mounted on the engine. Don't have Turbo boost pressure. Didn't have a rear view camera and monitor. In short, I think each of these coaches is unique because of the decisions made by each buyer when their coach was built. My understanding is Blue Bird only tried this for a year or two after finding that a lot of people added most of the features available in a standard bird anyway. I also suspect that building coaches with all these options made the manufacturing process more complicated than they wanted it to be.
