Mirrors

I have a 84fc 35' I just picked it up at a cat place after an oil
chance. The drivers side mirror was hit by a truck ?? When we moved it
back I had forgot where it should be. I don't use it much. I told them
it should stick out like the one on the right, it points to about one
o'clock. After we got the left one set at about 11 o'clock so it would
look the same. I then drove to my storage place and had to look out the
windshield to use it. I seems the before I could look at it from the
side window. Any ideas?
