Air intake cowling
Terry,

I am sure you know what you are suggesting. But I have a question. With the
air scoop facing forward, what prevents a lot of water from entering to your
engine in a rain storm while driving down the road?

Tom, the air scoop should definitely be facing forward. Not sure how
yours came to be reversed but if you take the screws out, you should be
able to turn it around. If you look up from the engine compartment, you
should see the clamp that attaches the scoop to the down pipe.
