Leroy,
The 'short hand' would be to call yours a WB-40, since all WBs are PTs (the FC was not made in a wide body). So either WB-40 or PT-40 (WB) are correct. The point of designating the model and year (in forum messages) is that advice given/received is understood to apply to particular models. For instance, my '95 is a wide body diagonal aisle layout 42 feet. This layout presupposes certain features to be located in different (perhaps unique) positions as compared to a non- diagonal aisle model ... and it also has the Series 60 DD engine instead of an 8V92. By using the model designation, anyone can go to the Vintage Birds web site and look up the basic specifications. While many BB systems are similar across years and models, some systems are quite individualized to particular models. Pete Masterson aeonix1@...
