Todd,
I bought Tomâs â78 FC with the 4.88 gearset. Since I have not driven my coach very much yet and I donât have experience with the 5.29 gear set, I canât say much except that I have towed my 1995 Jeep up some steep hills and I always get to the top. I would probably have to set up a drag race with someone to really figure out the difference in performance. I think the reality is that there is not that much of a difference in performance, but the lower engine RPMâs when cruising should make for a quieter and more economical experience.
