Fwd: Re: Jeep Wrangler
Bruce I have towed a Wrangler 2000 since new. My manual says to put the
transfer case in neutral after backing up to make sure it is out of four wheel drive. Then put the tranny in a forward gear & it doesn't say which one. I usually use 5th gear. I've towed over 30,000 miles with it. Don 89 SP 36' Butler, Pa To anyone towing a Jeep Wrangler 5 speed. I will be towing a 98 Jeep Wrangler 5 speed and need to know if the transmission should be in neutral or in gear - if so which gear? The transfer case will be in neutral. Seems to be a little confusion about the Wrangler and I don't have an owners manual for information. My Grand Cherokee says transfer case in neutral, transmission in park - but it's an automatic. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks - Bruce A 86PT38 MF, Oregon [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |
