Fwd: Re: Jeep Wrangler
Bruce I have towed a Wrangler 2000 since new. My manual says to put the
transfer case in neutral after backing up to make sure it is out of four
wheel drive. Then put the tranny in a forward gear & it doesn't say which one.
I
usually use 5th gear. I've towed over 30,000 miles with it.

To anyone towing a Jeep Wrangler 5 speed.

I will be towing a 98 Jeep Wrangler 5 speed and need to know if the
transmission should be in neutral or in gear - if so which gear? The transfer
case
will be in neutral. Seems to be a little confusion about the Wrangler and I
don't have an owners manual for information.

My Grand Cherokee says transfer case in neutral, transmission in park - but
it's an automatic.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks -
