Help...No Fresh Water From Pump...84FC
David,

The Sprolan Valve is probable good, just needs cleaning...

Based on our '87 PT...

The water pump will run if the pump switch is on...that does not mean
water is being pumped.

The Sporlan valve controls the fill tank, or letting the pump pump water
when the tank level is above the draw water level. With shore water
connected the pump can be turned off (Sprolan in non-fill position) and
you have shore water pressure.

THAT IS TRUE IF ALL IS GOOD WITH THE SPORLAN VALVE...

I have experienced what you describe. Remedy is...place some rags around
the Sporlan valve, strip a rag so it can be inserted into the sporlan
inlet water line after the top of the valve is removed (keeps the water
from running in for the most part). Remove the top of the sporlan
valve, insert the rag, clean out the valve(white scale stuff), scrape
the rubber bladder (lightly) to remove the white scale. Then reinstall
all the parts in reverse order. This takes no more than 15 minutes.

Repeat the filling and pumping procedure.

Good luck!.
