clean out air tanks
I have had an 80 for 8 years. Don't have a dryer as I feel you don't either. I
have really had little trouble even though I have had quite a bit of goop from time to time. I have been afraid I needed gaskets, etc. but have kept on going without trouble. When I clean out the wet tank, especially, I unscrew the valve all the way off and run the engine and the compressor pushes out most of if not all the goop. All I can say is it has worked for me but am sure it might drive a real mechanic crazy. The wet tank put out a thick, slow stream of gooey glop for about 15 minutes. I would guess a quart or so came out. It flowed slow so I guess I will need to have a few sessions to get all it out. So with all that stuff in there I would like to flush out the tanks and lines and check the brake units, etc. What should I use to do this? I expect I will need to drop the tanks to do it right. Anyone been through this out there? Gardner 78FC33 [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |
