Morse Side landing (flood) lights
Stephen,
I replaced 1 of the side landing lights on my Bird. The local replacement bulbs are a flood light and 50 watts, they can be found at farm supply stores. The correct bulbs have an unusual beam height and width. They are GE Lamp#4519. They can be purchased from http://www.topbulb.com/find/Product_Desc...ctID=42032 They run $35 ea. Spec's are as follows: GE Lamp #4519 13.0 Volt 100 Watt 30,000 Candle Power 40 degree horizontal beam spread 7 degree Vertical beam spread screw terminals These are actually a Marine landing light, there are some similiar lights that are designed as airplane landing lights. I am not sure how our fixtures would react to the much higher heat of that bulb. Those specs (for the airplane bulb) look like this: GE Lamp#4313 13.0 Volt 250 Watt 140,000 Candle Power 16 degree horizontal beam spread 7 degree vertical beam spread screw terminals. I'd like to know if anyone has tried the airplane landing lights, and if they had any adverse effect on the fixture or wiring. Thanks Jay Darst 85PT40 Springfield, IL where has been dribling rain for about 14 hours straight. --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "Stephen H" <share@...> wrote: > > Anyone know a source for the side "landing lights" as they are called? > I need 2 of them it seems the bulbs are not replaceable.
