Electric Retarder
Dan:
Bearing damage/failure inside the retarder, fire from the grease
inside the bearings/housing and warping of the rotors. My manual
states to run for no more than 5 min in #4 position to avoid the
above issues and to let it cool by running at 15 mph or better with
the retarder off for 5 min after a hard run.
