George,
The spray nozzle has a built in check valve. I only hook up the hose after the tank is empty and then unhook it when done. My first coach appeared to be a factory installation. These spray systems are available at Camping World and most all RV supply places. I beleive the check valve meets code, but the hose should NEVER be left connected.
