Are you going to attend RATS?
I do not have an Aqua Hot but a Wabasto diesel fired retrofit. My system works
as follows.
Turn the system on, set the desired thermostat temp and the burner fires until
the interior temp reaches the selected temp. The burner goes out but the
circulation pump keeps circulating the hot water. When the water cools, the
burner cycles again, and again.
Question? When your cycle is completed are you receiving heat in the bus from
the system?
It takes mine about 10 minutes to run me out of the bus on a very cool day. As
the interior temp decreases the cycle is repeated.

I just fixed a diesel leak in our "new to us" Aqua Hot. I ended up
calling Vehicle systems about our problem and they were extremely
helpful. Also, their web site is pretty good and you can download all
the owners, troubleshooting, and shop manuals for their units. They
told me my model wasn't made anymore, but also told me which manual to
download that was practically the same. Their web site is

They also emailed me a word document that goes over the anual
maintenance... I will forward that to you via email.
Hopefully that will at least get you going in the right direction...

I would also think that if your unit runs for 15 to 20 mins it might
be shutting off because it has finished heating the water...when I
refired mine after the repairs it only ran for about 15 mins. The
water was very hot after it shut off.
