New BB owner with a couple questions (i.e. safe combo and retarder)
Hello

This is Dave Beatty, the proud owner of an 1983 FC35SB.

I did allot of searching for the combo to my safe including tracking
down the original owner of my Bird. No luck. I finally located a
Real Safe Cracker that has gone straight after 3 trips to prison.
It took him 3+ hours to open the safe using a drill thru the dial
method that he had the skill to repair. The safe was empty. The
Safe Cracker then set the combo to an easy combo for me to
remember. Cost was $450... But nice to have a working safe
especially for any future trip to Canada since they might ask to see
inside of the safe. I have stored $1 and a copy of the Combo.... A
little humor I think.

Howdy, Just bought our first Bird, 1981 FC35. First, it did not come
with the safe combination, any ideas (other than the ones from Buzzy)
and second, what woukd it take to add a retarder to this rig, and any
ideas where I could find a used one. Or should I just add an exhaust
brake and call it good. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
