Generator replacement 1978 FC33
Hi Brent,
We replaced a propane generator on our 84FC with a 8KW PowerTech diesel generator in 2001. We had it installed at the PowerTech factory in Florida for $6,300 including tax. We've logged 1,000 hours on it since then and it's been a good, reliable unit. We only have two roof airs and easily run them and anything else on our coach without a problem. If you want to run three roof airs, an 8KW unit may be too small for you. We picked the 8KW because it was the largest enclosed unit we could fit into our compartment. You can fit a larger unenclosed unit in your coach but will experience more noise as a result. Hope this helps in your decision.
