Potable water filtration system

I went to Home Depot and got one of their home filter cannisters that
uses replaceable filter inserts. I outfitted it with the proper hose
fittings to go between the city/campground water supply outlet and my
fill hose. I filter the water before it ever gets in the coach and
hits the coach on-board filter system. I use the granulated charcoal
filter cartridges in it. I can tell you that my Sporlan fill valve
was incredibly clean when I took it apart last week. Other than that,
I subscribe to Leroy's theory, but replace the whiskey with Tequila to
kill any ice cube germs that survived.
