Bob,
Reminds me of mid-50s in North-Eastern Ark. It had been below zero for over a week. We lived in the country and heated the house with Butane (not Propane), above ground tank in the backyard. Butane would not gas with the low temps so my father built an open fire along side the tank. Worked we got gas in the house. Probably did not meet OSHA standards, but we were cold!!!..
