Hitch Extender Adapter

TrailerHitches.com has several "towing racks" listed -- with class 3
and 4 hitches. It notes that the "hitch's towing capacity is reduced
by half when using towing racks."

A class 4, nominally a 10,000 lb. hitch would then be rated at 5000 lbs.

Might a rack that attaches to the ladder be better for you? See
