Roger: Thanks, I just made another post about local channel reception. Local
channels other than Network channels were set up in a specified radius. That is
how my friend Chicago friend has been operating. I was receiving NY and LA
distant Network channels. (ABC Chicago or NY Network channels. Based on today's discussion with DISH be
prepared to get knocked off line and receive Network and local channels out of
Cedar Rapids or someplace nearby. If you move elsewhere then you will receive
the channels from stations providing Network coverage in that area. I was doing
fine, now I gotta jump through some hoops.

DISH referred me to Mydistantnetworks.com as an alternative for distant network
service, purported to be the only company to offer this service now.

Please, let me know if you get knocked off distant network coverage. I'll
report how mine works when I get it straightened out.

Dish Network has an option to get either Chicago, LA and I believe NY
network stations anywhere in the US. My local stations are not available
outside
of an XX? radius. I signed up for Chicago and get it everyplace I go. If I
remember properly, it doesn't cost additional when I opted for the local
channels, but I'd have to confirm that.
