BulrissBus of the week
Greg,
Thanks, we like the colors also. Green seems to be an acquired taste. Folks seem to love it or hate it. It may look long, but it felt even longer doing those very tight steep downhill 180 switchbacks on the approach to Boulder Dam. Yes, it was quite a hike up some rough terrain to get that shot, and I did have to go when I got back down, but I get emails all the time from members saying they enjoy the Bird of the Week pictures that have scenery in them so they can see places they have never been to but might want to go to. That's what prompted the hike. Hadn't seen a car in over half an hour up to that point, but then about 6 passed by as I was trying to get the pictures. It looks like I was on the road, but I was actually in a pull off lane for a scenic overlook I couldn't fit in. We got tons of desolate scenic pictures on Route 66 (saw 2 cars in two hours) and other out of the way places.
