My 78FC33 upshifts around 22-2300 with the pedal to the metal. It
downshifts around 17-1800 while climbing under full throttle except
for 4th to 3rd, which happens around 12 to 1300. I always manually
downshift from 4th to 3rd during a climb because I think it is
better to keep the rpm's near 2000 and I don't want to lug the
engine. My FC had the gears changed from 5:something to 4:88 so my
shift points may not be standard.
