All good information.

FWIW...I use a 1' thick, 4" x 5" piece of packing foam (the gray stuff,
it's less expensive than anything else I've used). Load it somewhat
sparingly with the cleaner/polishing compound and get started. The Foam
stays wet with the cleaning/polishing compound which speeds up the
manual polishing process by 50%. A two compound process takes about 20 -
30 minutes per wheel.
