Microwave

Is it hard to gut a microwave and just refit the old unit with new
gismo's????? I had that done at a shade tree appliance shop for
$75.00 but don't know what was done other than it worked after the
repair.

They require air space for heat dissipation. The built-in microwaves
have a fan and shroud to remove the heat. I recall one member
mentioning that they vented the heat with a fan thru the cooktop heat
vent. Unfortunately all the built-in microwave/convection ovens I
have found are $700+.
