re-inverters
Terry, I don't understand what you are trying to do.
Do I have it right, you are going to put a charger on the genset battery, which
is going to be powered from the main battery bank? Is the genset battery not
charged now by the inverters/alternator setup?

Terry, thank you for the info. I cant down load the specs but I guess
it is somehow protectes the genset start battery from becomming one
of the coach inverter bank batteries. The inverter also powers the
battery charge? this looks like the way to go. You would think the
genset would have a winding output of 14 volts just for the start
battery function?

As it turned out with a bench test at a local starter alt rebuilder
my Genset Kubota starter was drawing way more amps than spec and I
had it rebuilt for $135.00 (Riverside Alt 951-354-2373) . I ran the 8
12V deep cycle back to Campingworld and they were clueless as to how
to test them. they offered to just replace all 8 with a prorate. I
paid a battery shop to do the Hydro test and 3 units were found to
have issue with one battery grounded short. CW replaced the 3 for me.
I was alarmed that CW employees could not believe that there is a
Motorhome with 8 batteries in a bank. I used CW for the origional
purchase because I knew little about inverters and just assumed they
were up on that.
