Lengths
Thanks to Bob, Tom, and Stephen for their replies. I found out today that one
can call Bluebird parts and give them your body #, and they will give you the
actual length of your Bird. I bot mine as a 33', and it is actually 30' 6",
(guess it is a 31 footer according to the info that Stephen sent me). Some day I
hope to own a 35 footer, and will have approx 4' 3" more Bird to romp around in
than at present. I am very happy with this Bird at present, and am looking
forward to getting it fixed up. Thanks for the warning on the chrome job Tom. A
fellow in Va. told me to make sure mine is triple chromed if I send it off to be
redone.Again thanks for the help. I am located approx. 2 hrs.via car, 2 1/2 hrs
via my slow 5.28 geared bus from Bob in Greenville, S.C., up I-85 in Charlotte,
N.C. George Burke 1977 FC31SB no doubt now

My ESP is down for the moment, go with whatever
length you THINK it is, what difference will it
make? It would be strange if Bluebird made a 31.26,
a 32.95, a 35.64, wouldn't it?

I checked on re-chroming a '77 bumper about a year
ago, price was around $350, needed to be sent to
Alabama, of course you remove and replace. Check
with your local bumper & glass shop.

I have a '77 and it has everything you mention, it's
a 31 footer (or close to it)

Welcome to the group, enjoy your new-to-you bird,
have fun.

1977 FC33, ( I Think ). I have not seen, or maybe I missed, anyones
posting of the actual length of a FC33. It has (2) rooftop A/Cs, (2)
sofas up front, a side bath, refrig. and a double bed in the rear. My
brother and I did a quick measurement, (I don,t remember what it was,
used a yard stick), but it definitely did not come out to 33'. Would
appreciate someones expertise on this. In another matter I called
BlueBird today and was told that a new front bumper, (in primer), and
a (later version), a (little different), was approx. $545. Mine needs
either replacement or a rechrome job. Has anyone done this, and if so
at what cost. Tia George Burke 1977 FCSB (I Think)
