As you read from Bob's message, good suggestions, but if you decide to boondock, and want to make sure that your genset battery has power, add a small to medium size solar panel just to the genset battery, that will keepit topped up, and ready for use. Bill 84 FC 35 SB "$quanderlodge" Terrace, B.C. Canada Bill, I had to replace my original Rediline & battery chargers. I installed 2 IOTA chargers for my main battery bank (I have 2 "house" batteries) I am keeping the gen set charging outside the rest of the system. Then my gen set gets charged by the engine alternator, shore power (Chargers) or the generator itself.
