New member looking for Bluebird

Hello,

I am new to the group. I joined about a week ago and have enjoyed
reading all the messages. It is nice to see such an active group.

I am currently in the market for PT36, 38 or 40. I think I am
leaning more to the 36. With the blue and silver color scheme.

I have been RV'ing since 1999 starting with an Airstream trailer,
then Airstream motorhome, then Beaver Motorhome, and then Prevost
H340 conversion and now back to an Airstream Trailer. Full circle
and burned a lot of $$$ doing it. I don't want much; I just want a
motorhome that will not fall apart. One that if I do go off road
(Not 4x4'ing), the kitchen cabinets won't fall off the wall. So this
brings me to a Bluebird.

I'm leaning towards the PT 36 due to its size, I know its only 4
feet difference between the 36 and 40, but I had a 40' Prevost and
with the height and length, I felt like a bull in a china cabinet.

My question is if anyone knows the history (I know this is a far
cry, but the "Blue Thunder" thread told me this is a small
community) of the PT36 that Snyder RV in Virginia has for sale? And
is the 6V92 a good engine with enough power to push the PT36?

I was burned when I purchased the Prevost. Ending up having to spend
close to $15k in the first year, because I was (lack of a better
word) stupid and I don't want to make that mistake again.

I am currently on the West cost and the coach is on the East cost.
Does anyone know of a service that will do a survey on a coach
before you buy it? Sort of like the boating industries, there are
marine surveyors that check the entire boat out, are there RV
surveyors?
