blue box copies
Our 82 has ate valves also. Believe that they are "emergency" shutoff. I
had to use it when one of the brass elbows started leaking around the rear tire. The Sporlan valves on our coach are on the right side under the passengers feet and in the rear under the bed. Our "Summer/Winter switch changes the routing of the coolant to bypass the heaters and only circulate through the hot water heater and applies power the the thermostat controls for the chassis heat. Sporlan is a valve manufacturer. I order parts for my valves from Stephen Birtles. He hangs out on this forum. They are easy to rebuild. I believe that the diagrams for the freshwater pluming are in the "files" section of this site. All the early year FCs that I have been around are logically the same, some of the components are is different locations. Maybe I could talk to you about roads up there. We have Family in Nebraska and Idaho and will be traveling through the area when the weather is a little more hospitable. - Chuck Wheeler - 82 FC 31 SB Fort Worth, TX _____ From: WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com [mailto:WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of cortezfenn Sent: Saturday, January 20, 2007 5:36 PM To: WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com Subject: [WanderlodgeForum] blue box copies Last fall I bought my 1981 35FCRB that did not come with a "blue box". I called BB about buying a copy of all the drawings. The reply was that they don't have them for an 81, but have a set for an 83. I'm hesitant to be looking at schematics for an 83 that may be different. Any thoughts? Would anyone be interested in copying and selling me the 81 drawings? A quick question. Is the Sporlan valve a brand name or is it a type? My summer/winter switch has been bypassed with two manual gate valves in line under the drivers seat area. Also the water fill valve from the outside doesn't work. To fill with fresh water, I manually open some valves under the driver bed to fill the tanks. That original valve is in the w/h closet. Seem to have several of these solenoid type water valves that need to be replaced. Trying to get educated. Jim in Bigfork, MT.
